How it Works

Our community is facing unprecedented challenges as a result of COVID-19. As you may know, the restaurant industry has been especially hard hit. Restaurants generally employ dozens of people, hire and source locally, and are a key contributor to our culture and nightlife. They often work long hours, on slim margins, and limited profits for much of the year in hopes of strong Spring and Summer crowds. This cycle is in jeopardy and our restaurants need our help. Support them—and score a great, discounted meal—with Stamford Restaurant Bonds.

We believe that a discount of 15% is fair and have set that as the standard of this program. This comes from conversations with many restaurateurs. Any less and the consumers lose their incentive to take action. Any more and the burden on the restaurant is too great.

No. You must purchase the gift certificate directly from the restaurant. You can only redeem it by using the restaurant’s website or calling them.

We will do our best to answer questions submitted via the contact page form on our website. That said, this page is simply a compilation of vendors and offers, you are doing business with the restaurants, not the with The Partnership. All of the information is provided by the participating restaurants, and all questions about purchase, redemption, and conditions reflect their policies and should be directed at the restaurants. The Partnership is providing this page as a public service to help restaurants during this difficult time.

As long as we have participating restaurants and public interest this program will continue.

During these tough economic times, it is certainly possible. Also look at this as a showing of support for our entrepreneurs and the people they employ. Please understand the risks. If a restaurant goes out of business you will most likely not get your money back. Every participating restaurant manages their own gift certificate program and respective policies. Make sure to ask the restaurant and weigh the risks before making a purchase.

You will need to wait for the restaurant to reopen before you are able to redeem your certificate.

Yes. Your physical location must be in the City of Stamford. Restaurants outside of the City of Stamford are not currently being considered for this program. Fringe cases, such as being next to, but not within the border of Stamford, are not currently being considered.

Restaurants are listed in order they applied. Once submissions subside, the order will be randomly shuffled every few days.

Given that customers will undoubtedly have questions about redemption, it is inadvisable to setup a gift certificate capability for the first time for this program.
