Patricia Meyer Joins the Stamford Partnership as Director of the Good Jobs Challenge Program
We’re thrilled to welcome Patricia Meyer to the Stamford Partnership as Director of the Good Jobs Challenge Program!
The Stamford Partnership is co-convenor of the Southwest Connecticut Tech Partnership, which is focused on bringing business leaders from data-driven, tech-enabled companies together to network and collaborate on developing the region’s economy. The Tech Partnership will benefit from the nearly $24 million Connecticut was awarded from the federal American Rescue Plan Good Jobs Challenge project. The program aims to train and place hundreds of area workers in quality jobs in Connecticut’s technology sector.
With over seventeen years of experience developing workforce training solutions in higher education and fostering collaboration with both public and private sector organizations, Ms. Meyer is looking forward to bringing her experience to the SWCT Tech Partnership. In her most recent role as a Workforce Development & Continuing Education Director at Connecticut State Community College (CT State-QV), she was co-convener of the Eastern Connecticut Healthcare Partnership from June 2022 – October 2023. Before her return to Connecticut in 2021, Ms. Meyer spent eleven years at Frederick Community College in Frederick, Maryland. During her tenure, she served as the Associate Vice President of the Continuing Education & Workforce Development division for the last three years.
Patrica holds a Master of Science in Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Central Connecticut State University. In her off-time, Patricia volunteers at Our Companions, a non-profit located in Manchester, Conn. She is a trainer for classes that help individuals understand and live harmoniously with their canine family members and is an enrolled in an internship program working towards becoming a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA). She and her family live in Colchester, Connecticut.
