The Stamford Partnership Celebrates the Success of the Dream Up Grant Program Awardees

The Stamford Partnership is dedicated to supporting and empowering the changemakers in our community. We believe in the power of local initiatives and that supporting individuals who drive positive change builds a stronger Stamford for all. Recently, we had the privilege of awarding the Dream Up Grant, a meaningful initiative aimed at fostering innovation and empowering BIPOC changemakers in Stamford. 

During the Dream Up Grant ceremony, we had the pleasure of awarding a total of $10,000 to two remarkable individuals and organizations who demonstrated an powerful commitment to their causes. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the following winners:

My Architecture Workshops, Inc. (Dominique Moore, applicant)

Dominique Moore, an Architect and Interior Design Professional with over 20 years of experience, leads projects with a focus on exceptional design, high-quality detailing, and sustainability. Co-founder of My Architecture Workshops Inc., a non-profit organization, Dominique is dedicated to introducing students from kindergarten to 12th grade to architecture, design, and construction. The organization offers hands-on learning opportunities through design-build programs, 3D programming, summer camps, afterschool programming, and design-build construction programs for high school and trade school students. Dominique also serves on the board for NOMA CT, AIA CT JEDI Committee, and as an advisory board member for the UHART Architecture Program. She was awarded the Jose Hernandez President’s Award for Member of the Year in 2022.

Heart & Purpose (Pracilya Titus, applicant)

Heart & Purpose’s Pracilya Titus  is dedicated to empowering youth and families from marginalized communities through life-skill education and financial assistance, guiding them towards a purposeful future. Pracilya, with nearly 10 years of experience in the education sector, oversees the development and implementation of the organization’s programs. Heart & Purpose provides educational opportunities and access to students in Fairfield County and Haiti, collaborating with community members to coordinate activities and develop programs. Pracilya institutes evaluations and assessments to monitor programmatic progress and outcomes.

The Dream Up Grant Award Ceremony was a memorable event where we celebrated the accomplishments of our winners and their ongoing contributions. The ceremony featured esteemed guest Mayor Simmons, who delivered inspiring words recognizing the recipients’ dedication and achievements. It was a wonderful occasion that showcased the power of collaboration and community support. 

As we reflect on the success of the Dream Up Grant Program, we are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead.
