Welcome back, Michael Jean!
We’re excited to welcome Michael Jean back to The Stamford Partnership’s Board of Directors. Michael is a seasoned government affairs executive who currently serves as Director of State and Local Government Affairs at NBCUniversal, where he leads strategic engagement with political leaders and senior officials across the country.
In his role at NBCUniversal, Michael designs and executes advocacy strategies on issues like economic development incentives, film and digital media tax credits, sports policy, production regulations, and workforce development initiatives that drive job creation and industry growth. His work spans and supports major NBCUniversal brands, including Universal Pictures, Universal Studio Group, Peacock, Telemundo, and NBC Sports.
Previously, Michael served as Special Assistant to U.S. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, helping to manage high-level relationships with business and political leaders nationwide and contributing to the passage of landmark legislation such as the bipartisan CHIPS and Science Act, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, and the Inflation Reduction Act.
Michael also brings a deep commitment to public education through his service on the Board of Directors for the Stamford Public Education Foundation. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from Binghamton University and a Master’s in Teaching from Teachers College, Columbia University.
