Darrell Johnson Appointed Executive Director of Stamford Partnership

Stamford, CT – April 21, 2025 — The Stamford Partnership proudly announces the appointment of Darrell Johnson as its new Executive Director. A seasoned leader with over 30 years of experience across corporate and nonprofit sectors, Johnson brings a strong background in strategic planning, marketing, and community engagement to the role.

Johnson’s appointment signals a new chapter for the Stamford Partnership, a leading public-private collaboration that works to drive economic development, foster innovation, and enhance quality of life in Stamford. The organization connects business leaders, entrepreneurs, public officials, and community organizations to shape the city’s future through forward-thinking programs and partnerships.

Throughout his career, Johnson has held senior leadership roles at prominent institutions including the United Way of New York City, Brown University, Sara Lee, PepsiCo, Heineken, and WWE. He is also well known locally for his nonprofit leadership, serving as Executive Director of Positive Coaching Alliance New York and contributing to the Stamford Peace Youth Foundation.

A Stamford resident for 27 years, Johnson is deeply committed to strengthening the city’s economic and civic fabric. As Executive Director, he will lead the Stamford Partnership in its mission to align stakeholders, champion innovation, and ensure equitable economic opportunity for all residents.

Johnson holds a B.A. in Government from Wesleyan University and an M.B.A. from Boston College. He and his wife, Anne, have raised their three children in Stamford and remain active contributors to the community.
