UCONN's Katherine Pancak Joins the Stamford Partnership Board

Stamford, CT – The Stamford Partnership is delighted to welcome Katherine Pancak as its newest board member. With an impressive background in academia, real estate, and law, Pancak brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the partnership.

Katherine Pancak currently serves as the Professor In-Residence of Finance and Real Estate at the University of Connecticut. She is also the Academic Director of the Stamford Campus Business Programs and the Interim Academic Director of the Connecticut Information Technology Institute. Her dedication to the Stamford Campus has been unwavering, as she played a pivotal role in launching the first four-year undergraduate business major over twenty-five years ago. Today, the Stamford Campus offers a wide range of undergraduate business majors, minors, specialized business masters, an MBA program, and various graduate business certificates and professional development courses.

“The Stamford Campus stands out today because of our diverse students, urban location, and cutting-edge programs,” Pancak stated. “Plus, there is a great deal of excitement having undergraduate, graduate, and professional development business programs amid Stamford’s thriving business environment. Faculty and students can regularly meet with people from a variety of industries, learn from them, and connect with them. I am excited about the long-term growth of both the City and Campus.”

In addition to her roles in academia, Pancak conducts research on real estate law topics and has been widely published in real estate academic journals. She is also the author of the textbook entitled “Connecticut Real Estate: Law and Practice.” Her commitment to excellence has earned her numerous awards for teaching, teaching innovation, research, service, and outreach.

A Connecticut native, Pancak earned her undergraduate degree in Economics from Mount Holyoke College and a law degree from Boston College Law School. Prior to joining the University faculty, she worked as a corporate real estate attorney, gaining valuable experience in the field.

As a new board member of the Stamford Partnership, Katherine Pancak brings her passion for education, extensive knowledge of real estate, and dedication to the Stamford community. Her appointment further strengthens the partnership’s mission to drive economic growth, foster innovation, and enhance the quality of life in Stamford.
